CULTURAL ACTION
The festival’s full name is its most explicit "profession of faith": "les Rencontres Trans Musicales" (literally the Trans Musicales
Encounters). The Trans like the idea of creating encounters, otherwise unlikely, between artists and audiences from different horizons. Concerts are the most ancient and clear manifestation of these encounters. However, the festival offers its public different and new opportunities to discover today’s music and its actors in other forms.
Concert goers or not, young or not so young, fans of music, of shows, curious neophyte or well informed professionals, residents of Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine or elsewhere... situations matter less than the affirmation that each and everyone can find their place in the Trans Musicales Encounters!
Over the years a dedicated cultural action department has been set up to brainstorm and find ideas concerning this festival-spectator relation.
The projects offered in the framework of this cultural action are therefore numerous and varied. Echoing each other, they work towards bringing the public closer to the artistic propositions, enlarging musical horizons, exploring different points of view of the public (from mere spectator to dynamic actor) and making the programming choices and the festival’s intentions clearer and more accessible.
